COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County will once again host a scrap tire event Saturday, near the county jail.
Building and Grounds Manager Scott Walls will be managing the event which will run that day from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and is free for Branch County residents.
Walls told Branch County Commissioners last month that up to ten passenger vehicle and pickup tires will be accepted per vehicle.
Semi and tractor tires will not accepted.
County officials are asking residents not to dump tires in the general area of the collection site like what has been happening in recent years.
Unloading and dumping tires on public ground outside of the designated drop off times can be cited and will be considered illegal dumping under state law.
The area is covered by around the clock surveillance cameras.
