STURGIS, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater, Bronson, and Quincy were among the seventeen teams participating in the 61st Sturgis Kiwanis Invitational Saturday at Sturgis Middle School.
In the girls race, Bronson finished second overall, and first among Division 3 and 4 schools, with 99 points. Coldwater was 13th overall with 297 points. Quincy did not have a team score.
For the Vikings, Ashlynn Harris was fourth overall (first in D3/4), Miriam Sanchez 11th, Alonna Goodsell 12th, Lydia Wells 27th, and Adelynn Cosby 46th. For the Cardinals, Morgan Baker finished 26th overall, Ellerie Bucklin 63rd, Miyah Moore 66th, Olivia Golematis 78th, and Isabella Angevine 101st. And for the Orioles, Kendyl Musielewicz was 39th overall, Cali Richards 57th, and Elizabeth Craig 77th.
The boys race saw Bronson place seventh overall, and first among Division 3 and 4 schools, with 252 points. Quincy was tenth overall, and fourth in Division 3/4, with 258 points. Coldwater also had 258 points and was 11th overall and seventh among Division 1 and 2 schools.
For the Viking boys, Brayton Cosby was 34th overall, Denver Siler 46th, Jack Ganton 56th, Adam Franks 62nd, and Carter Sikorski 71st. For the Orioles, Hunter Walker was 23rd overall, Nathan Dunn 45th, Carter Feltner 59th, Chayse Jensen 64th, and Coy Wood 92nd. And for the Cardinals, Luke Aerts was 26th, Drew VanderPuyl 48th, Aiden Parker 50th, Lucas Newberry 65th, and Hunter Wagoner 95th.
