READING, MI (WTVB) – Bronson improved to 7-1 as they recorded their second shutout victory of the season, blanking Reading 44-0 at Barre Field.
The Vikings were denied an opportunity to share the Southwest 10 championship with Decatur and White Pigeon. The Raiders held off the visiting Chiefs 22-14 to improve to 6-2 overall, 6-0 in the Southwest 10, and lock up the outright league title. The Vikings finished runner-up in the Southwest 10 after wrapping up league play last week at 5-1. White Pigeon claimed third place in the Southwest 10 at 4-2 and fell to 6-2 overall.
VERMONTVILLE, MI – Quincy snapped a three-game losing streak, as a late score lifted the Orioles to a 17-14 win at Maple Valley.
Quincy improved to 5-3 overall; at 3-3 in the Big 8, they tied Reading for fourth place.
