LANSING, MI (WTVB) – The City of Bronson is set to receive a $199,155 grant through the Community Service Infrastructure Fund (CSIF) Category B program for road work on Compton Street project, from Ruggles to Matteson St.
The project includes new curb, gutter, reconstruction of sidewalk ramps to meet ADA requirements, and lead service line replacements. a total project cost of $398,310
The funding is part of a broader initiative announced by Governor Gretchen Whitmer, distributing grants to 39 small Michigan communities to support various road infrastructure projects.
The CSIF program, managed by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), targets communities with populations under 10,000 to finance projects aimed at extending the useful life of roads, including resurfacing and pavement preservation
Grant awards ranged from $50,000 to $250,000 for road resurfacing, culvert replacement, pavement crack sealing and other preservative measures.
