BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The ongoing cleanup from this weekend’s winter storm forced every high school and middle school athletic event involving Branch County teams scheduled for Monday to be either cancelled or postponed.
Among the affected events:
- Coldwater bowling against Hastings at Midway Lanes will be made up at a later date.
- Legg Middle School boys basketball at Harper Creek has been rescheduled for Thursday, December 4th.
- Bronson bowling at Hackett Catholic Prep has also been tentatively rescheduled for Thursday, December 4th at Airway Lanes in Kalamazoo.
- Bronson junior high boys basketball at Concord will be made up at a date to be announced.
- The Big 8 middle school cheer jamboree at Union City has been rescheduled for Wednesday, December 3rd.
No makeup date was announced for Quincy’s boys basketball season opener against Cassopolis. The Orioles will now open their campaign Wednesday at Grass Lake.
The boys basketball season will get underway for Branch County’s other teams on Tuesday. Coldwater will be at Gull Lake, with coverage on WTVB starting at 6:45 p.m., while Bronson visits St. Philip. Union City will entertain Mendon at the McNett Fieldhouse.
