COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Popular British influencer Joshua Clarke, one half of the popular travel duo Josh and Jase, revealed on Wednesday in a social media post that several hospital employees at an unnamed Michigan hospital accessed his personal medical information without his authorization.
The breach occurred following a mid-January hospital visit where Clarke was treated for a back injury during the pair’s three-week tour of the state.
Clarke says he received a formal letter from the hospital informing him that staff had viewed his electronic health record without a work-related reason.
In the video Clarke shared with his followers his deep concern over the violation.
While Clarke praised the hospital for its transparency in notifying him, he urged professionals to respect boundaries, stating that such actions are “not okay. I am all for meeting fans and being polite and will never turn down meeting someone; however, lines and boundaries have been crossed and it comes to a time where I need to take a stance.”
