Mickey L. Wendorf, 68, passed away February 16, 2026 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no services held at this time.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home.
He was born March 14, 1957 in Hillsdale to Elmer Wendorf and Betty (Cox).
Mickey spent many years working in autobody, specializing in painting, fiberglass work, and various finishing jobs. He took great pride in his craftsmanship and the skill he brought to every project.
Mickey honorably served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He was a man who enjoyed staying busy and found happiness in the simple things—putting models together, doing body work, tinkering in the garage, mowing his lawn, attending car shows, and camping.
He especially enjoyed giving his children a hard time, a role he played well and with love. Above all, Mickey absolutely cherished his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving spouse, Colleen Wendorf; his children, Alisha (Jason Shoemaker) Wendorf, Shawn (Patty) Thoms, Michael (Jackie) Bowles, and Corinna (Ben) Cope; his sister, Suzanne Swan; his grandchildren, Rickey (Kayla), Tayler, Kameron, Chandler, Michael (Emma), Caleb, Shaylee, Mika, Morgan, Jordan, Elizabeth, and Mary; and his great-grandchildren, Conner, BrynnLee, Kinley, Riley, and Weston; along with all of his beloved bonus children.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Earl Budd; his brother, Rickey Dee; and his sister-in-law, Anita McDaniel.
