COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The company is offering a $2,500 cash reward for information that leads to the arrest of those responsible for a break-in at American Copper and Brass this past weekend.
The Coldwater Police Department says the break-in occurred between 11:30 p.m. Saturday and 1:45 a.m. Sunday at the facility on South Michigan Avenue.
According to police, an unknown black male suspect entered the business overnight and stole copper coils and scrap copper. Police believe the suspect was driving an SUV similar to a Ford Expedition. The suspect used the SUV to pull a stolen U-Haul trailer loaded with the stolen materials.
The suspect caused significant damage to gain access to the building.
