FREMONT, IN (WTVB) – An Indiana State Police probationary trooper made a significant drug bust during one of his first solo patrols early Saturday morning in Steuben County. Just after midnight on Saturday, the trooper—who recently completed field training—initiated a traffic stop for an equipment violation near SR 120 and CR 50 West.
The investigation quickly escalated when the trooper discovered evidence of drug possession, leading to a vehicle search that uncovered over 73 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
The stop resulted in the arrest of two suspects: 25-year-old Lydia Tuckerman of Bradenton, Florida, and 39-year-old Tyler Brown of Muncie, Indiana.
Both individuals face felony charges for possession and dealing of methamphetamine, with Brown facing an additional misdemeanor charge for possession of paraphernalia. The pair was transported to the Steuben County Jail where they remain today.
Both are being held on a $50,000 bond.
