Betty J. Gleason, 82, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026 in Prescott, Arkansas.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 27, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at Lockwood Community Church.
Visitation will take place prior to the service from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Orland.
Arrangements are being handled by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Betty was born October 20, 1943, in Coldwater, Michigan to Maurice Luse and Betty Bell, and was later adopted by Harvey Nagel. She met and married Richard “Lucky” Gleason July 9, 1977.
Betty spent many years working at Morning Glory, Golden Feathers, and Anna’s Adult Foster Care Homes. She was a longtime member of Lockwood Community Church and was active in the women’s auxiliary.
Betty loved her family deeply, especially her grandchildren. She had a passion for horses and enjoyed riding whenever she could. She was also known as a fantastic cake baker and decorator, often making cakes for weddings, showers, and many special occasions.
She is survived by her children: Marion (Cheryl) Malone, Richard Gleason Jr., Monte (Ashley) Malone, Linda-Diane Hackley, Marte (Teresa) Malone, Jeanette (Danny) Martin, Doug (Kevin) Drumm, and Linda Hankins; 29 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard “Lucky” Gleason; her children, Troy Malone and Tina Holderman; her siblings, Ronald Nagel, John Nagel, Carol Chapman, and Kate Nagel; her grandson, Troy Malone; and her infant grandbaby, Martin.
