ALBION, MI (WTVB) – A 42-year-old Albion man was arrested on Thursday following a months-long investigation by the Michigan State Police. Detectives executed a search warrant at a residence on Hall Street, near Division Street, where they discovered illegally possessed firearms and quantities of cocaine and ecstasy.
During the raid, the suspect allegedly attempted to destroy evidence before being taken into custody.
The suspect has been lodged in the Calhoun County Jail on multiple felony counts. His charges include possession with intent to distribute cocaine and ecstasy, maintaining a drug house, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
The investigation was spearheaded by the Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET), which focuses on high-level narcotics trafficking and illegal weapons in the region.
