BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – The Michigan Baseball Hall of Fame has officially partnered with the Battle Creek Battle Jacks to designate MCCU Field at C.O. Brown Stadium as an approved partner site.
This collaboration aims to preserve and amplify Battle Creek’s deep-rooted baseball history, which spans from Negro League barnstorming stops and the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League to Harry Caray’s first “Holy cow!” broadcast. The initiative marks an expansion for the Hall of Fame, which was originally established in 2015 at Jackson Field in Lansing to honor the state’s most impactful baseball figures.
Fans can expect the city’s legacy, including the moment Derek Jeter signed his first Yankees contract at C.O. Brown Stadium,
to take center stage through new stadium exhibits, heritage nights, and historical content series.
Battle Jacks owner Scott Miles and Lugnuts general manager Zac Clark emphasized that the partnership is designed to inspire a new generation by celebrating Battle Creek’s role as a premier destination for amateur and professional ball. These storytelling initiatives are set to roll out beginning with the 2026 season.
