CALIFORNIA TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A 48-year-old woman Ft. Wayne, Indiana was injured Monday afternoon in Branch County’s California Township after her vehicle slammed into a utility pole, snapping it in half.
Branch County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the one-vehicle accident in the 700 block of South Ray Quincy Road around 5:00 p.m.
The woman’s vehicle was headed north on Ray Quincy Road when it left the roadway and hit the pole. She was transported to Cameron Hospital in Angola, Indiana by LifeCare Ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office says it’s believed the driver may have suffered a medical problem prior to the accident.
