HILLSDALE COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred just before 8:00p.m.Wednesday evening in Somerset Township, where a 2018 Buick Encore left the roadway and struck a tree, and burst into flames.
Upon extinguishing the flames, officials discovered an unidentified occupant inside the vehicle on Chicago Road near Baker Road.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office says they are working with the Lenawee-Hillsdale County Medical Examiner’s Office to identify the deceased, with assistance from the Michigan State Police and Somerset Township EMS.
