COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Community Schools will host its second community information meeting this Tuesday evening, at 6:30 p.m. in the high school media center.
During the session, school officials will provide an overview of the proposed $64 million bond, which aims to fund significant renovations and a classroom addition at Coldwater High School.
Attendees can take tours of the current facility and participate in a question-and-answer session regarding the project’s impact, which is estimated to result in a 1.5 mill tax increase for district residents.
The meeting is part of a broader transparency effort following the failure of previous bond requests in recent years. District officials have stressed that the 69-year-old high school requires urgent infrastructure upgrades, including new roofing and modern instructional spaces, to meet current academic and safety standards.
For those unable to attend, additional project descriptions and tax impact details are available on the district’s bond information page.
