Keri Ann Johnson, 54, of Union City, Michigan, died tragically March 6, 2026 from injuries sustained from a tornado.
A celebration of Keri’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation, 1276 Tate Trail, Union City, MI with Senior Chaplain Rachel Rogers officiating.
In keeping with Keri’s wishes, cremation will follow.
Visitation will be held just before the service, from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., also Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the Lighthouse.
Born in Chicago, Illinois May 12, 1971,
Keri was known for her warm smile, generous heart, and upbeat spirit, always willing to lend a hand or brighten someone’s day. Keri loved being around the water and spent much of her career working at a marina, where her passion for boating fit naturally with her work.
She enjoyed sharing laughs and playing cards with friends and family, making things with her hands, helping others, and will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and love for animals.
Keri is survived by her spouse, Scott Johnson; mother, Karen Herzog; father, George Herzog, and stepmother Charlene Herzog; parents-in-law Jerry and Glenda Johnson; step-children Brandon Johnson and Kelsey (Ryan) Smith; grandson Silas Smith; siblings, the late George T. (Gina) Herzog, Jessica (Joe Manske) Herzog, Jeff Johnson and Kelly Johnson; niece, Grace Herzog; nephew George M. Herzog; and many other dear family members and friends.
