Max J. Kinyon, 90, of Coldwater passed away Monday, March 23, 2026 at Insight Hospital and Medical Center Coldwater. No services will be held at this time. Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Max was born September 17, 1935 in Coldwater, MI to Carolton and Beulah (Teal) Kinyon. He married Marjorie J. DeHoff on March 21, 1958 in Branch County, MI. She preceded him in death August 31, 2023.
Max had a TV antenna installation business that he operated for many years. He had also worked for many years at the former Amax/Climax Corp/ HC Stark in Coldwater.
Max was a history buff who loved watching game shows and playing Bingo, alongside his wife. He was infatuated with UFO’s and ancient aliens.
Those who knew Max knew he loved candy and was never without bubble gum. He adored his family and was especially fond of Marjorie’s cooking.
Max is survived by his daughter Jodi (Ken Belt) Sherwood of Parma; his grandchildren Jason (Missy) Kinyon of Coldwater, Josh (Jenny) Sherwood of Powder Springs, GA, Melissa (Tory) Doty-King of Coldwater, Shaylee (Travis) Cole of Angola, IN; his great grandchildren Jorie, Cohen, Sadie, Maggie, Wade and Aleks.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his daughters Dawn (Doty) Kinyon, Donna (Todd) Cole, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
