A visitation will be held the night prior, Wednesday, April 1, 2026 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. Interment will take place following the service at Card Cemetery.
In keeping with Troy’s laid-back personality, he would want everyone attending his services to come dressed in casual attire.
Troy was born August 26, 1974 to Kimball Setser and Karen (Yuhl) Feldbauer. Troy married the love of his life, Margaret R. Taylor, July 10, 1993.
He began his career at LaGrange Products in Fremont, Indiana, where he worked for 10 years. He later found his true calling at the Branch Area Careers Center, serving as a Welding Technical Assistant for 20 years. Troy was deeply passionate about his work and took great pride in the students he taught, always encouraging them to do their best and help guide them toward a successful future.
Troy was a member of the Moose Lodge in Coldwater. Outside of work, he was an avid fisherman and hunter who found peace and enjoyment in the outdoors. He was known for his caring heart, always putting his family and others before himself. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a true jokester, bringing laughter and light to those around him.
Above all, Troy cherished his family. His grandson was his pride and joy, lovingly known as “Papa’s little buddy,” and the bond they shared meant everything to him. He would want his family to know how deeply he loved them and how much they meant to him.
Troy is survived by his wife, Margaret Setser of Coldwater; his daughter Sara Setser of Coldwater; his mother Karen Feldbauer and step father Terry Feldbauer of Coldwater; his sister Tina (Randy) Graybill of Fremont, IN; his grandson Hunter Setser; his mother-in-law Audrey Taylor; sister-in-law Michelle (Kip) Burkhardt; brother-in-law Mikey (Marisha) Taylor; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Andrew Blair and Jamie Tesch.
Troy was preceded in death by his father Kimball Setser, and father-in-law Michael Taylor.
Memorials may be directed to the Mr. Troy Setser Memorial Scholarship Fund. (Checks made payable to Margaret Setser)
