Sheryl K. Quick, 79, of Coldwater passed away peacefully Saturday, March 28, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home.
She was born September 17, 1946 in Fort Wayne, IN to Howard and Myrtle (Broyles) Hamilton. August 28, 1976 she married the love of her life, Michael Quick, in Angola, IN. Together, they built a life centered around family, friendship, and making lasting memories.
Sheryl dedicated many years to her work, beginning at JC Penney in Coldwater, then Acorn in Quincy, and later serving as a bank teller and receptionist at Honor Credit Union until her retirement in 2002.
She had a true passion for life and the outdoors. An avid golfer and bowler, Sheryl also cherished her time living on the lake, where she enjoyed water skiing, relaxing by the water, and especially hosting gatherings. Summers were filled with laughter, weekend get-togethers, and cherished family reunions that she and Mike so lovingly hosted.
Sheryl also found great joy in dancing with her husband. Together, they spent many summer evenings following their favorite bands, creating memories on the dance floor and sharing their love of music and each other.
Sheryl is survived by her husband, Michael Quick of Coldwater; her children Jeanine (Bill) James of Coldwater, Christina (Rod) Arnold of Granger, IN, David (Paula) Newhard of Rome City, IN; her grandchildren Shelby and Nick; 3 great grandchildren; her niece Terri Jo Hamilton and nephew Brian Hamilton.
She was preceded in death by her brother Howard D. Hamilton, and nephew Howard “HD” Hamilton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Heartland Hospice.
