COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council on Monday voted to proceed with plans to place a fountain in the Southwest corner of the Four Corners Park.
The Council voted unanimously to approve the purchase of the fountain equipment at a cost of $64,465 of which half of that amount is due immediately to begin the design process according to project architect Pam Blough
Blough says The Fountain People will design the fountain to have an underground vault to house the mechanical systems that eliminates the need for an additional building
She says once they receive the payment they will begin the process of designing the fountain, but it’s not clear when those designs will be unveiled, but it’s hoped that the fountain can be installed by this fall.
The total cost of the fountain project is expected to be under $250,000 far less than the original estimates of around $800,000.
