COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Almost one month after tornado sirens were set off across Branch County because of a tornado at Union Lake and in Union City, the sirens are scheduled to be tested again Saturday.
The 1:00 p.m. test happens the first Saturday of the month for five minutes.
A Branch County 911 dispatcher is credited with setting off the sirens a few minutes before the actual Tornado Warning March 6, possibly more lives and injuries in the storm, which spawned the EF-3 tornado, the first of its kind in March in Michigan.
