COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Secretary of State office is officially resuming services at 9:00 a.m. today at its new temporary location at 490 Marshall Street in Coldwater.
The branch had been closed for the past week to facilitate the move as its primary facility undergoes a significant remodel.
The temporary site will serve as the hub for in-person transactions until the permanent office is ready later this year.
The relocation is part of a major remodeling project at the standard Vans Avenue office, which is expected to be completed by September.
Once finished, the upgraded facility will feature a redesigned layout, a new public restroom, updated exterior siding, and fresh signage. In the meantime, residents can continue to use the Michigan Secretary of State website for online services or visit the self-service station located at the Coldwater Meijer on East Chicago Road for immediate renewals.
