KINDERHOOK, MI (WTVB) – A 64-year-old Kinderhook man, Jeffery Clyde Badgley, was arrested and lodged at the Branch County Jail following a violent altercation early Monday morning that left another male in critical condition.
Deputies responding to the 300 block of Southern Road at 12:30 a.m. determined the suspect allegedly used a weapon to feloniously assault the victim.
A search warrant was executed on Huss Lea Lane for evidence gathering in the ongoing investigation, which involved the Branch County Sheriff’s Office, Coldwater Police, and local medical services.
Badgley was locked up in the Branch County Jail on a preliminary felony charge of Assault with Intent to Murder
Sheriff Fred Blankenship confirmed the incident was isolated, assuring the community there is no ongoing threat.
