Virginia Ann Waldrop, 86, of Coldwater passed away peacefully Monday, April 6, 2026 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo surrounded by her family.
In keeping with Virginia’s wishes, she will be cremated and no services will be held. She will later be laid to rest privately at Matteson Township Cemetery in Bronson.
The family is being served by Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation in Union City.
Virginia was born August 8, 1939 in Branch County, Michigan to Howard and Pauline (Williams) Reynolds. She married Delmar Waldrop December 27, 1956, at the Chapel of the Garden in Angola, Indiana. He survives.
The couple made their home in the Bronson/Coldwater area. They raised three children together and she proudly obtained her G.E.D. at the age of 51. She had attended the Assembly of God Church through the years.
She worked in the quality control department at Douglas Manufacturing in Bronson for 22 years before retiring in 2006.
Virginia loved the simple things in life. She enjoyed gardening, dice & card games, crocheting, knitting, farming, fishing, camping, family time, road trips, and spending time with her husband of nearly 70 years.
In addition to her husband, Delmar; Virginia is survived by her children, Mark (Melissa) Waldrop of Coldwater, Lisa Matthews of Eden, OH, and Stacy (Jim) Smith of Quincy; her brother Larry Reynolds of Bronson; her 7 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and her 6 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister-in-law, Sue Reynolds; her daughter-in-law Jara Waldrop; her son-in-law Jerry Matthews; and several cousins.
