BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is set to begin a $900,000 resurfacing project on M-66 beginning Monday, April 13.
The work will span approximately 3.2 miles from M-60 to S Drive South, impacting a key corridor that connects parts of Branch and Calhoun counties. According to MDOT, the project includes milling and asphalt resurfacing, new pavement markings, and sidewalk upgrades to meet ADA standards.
Motorists should prepare for single-lane closures and the presence of traffic regulators throughout the construction zone.
While local traffic will still have access, drivers are advised to seek alternate routes to avoid potential delays during peak hours. The project, contracted to Lakeland Asphalt Corp., is estimated to be completed by the end of July.
