BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The City of Bronson has announced its upcoming routine water main cleaning, which will involve flushing fire hydrants and exercising water valves.
This maintenance is scheduled to begin at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, April 20th, for the eastern portion of the city. Operations will shift to the western side on Tuesday, April 21st, also starting at 7:00 a.m.
If crews require additional time to complete the work, flushing will continue into Wednesday morning, April 22nd.
Residents are advised that the process may cause temporary water discoloration, often appearing as a reddish or orange rusty tint due to disturbed iron sediment. If this occurs, the city recommends running cold water from the tap closest to the water meter for several minutes to clear the lines.
Additionally, officials strongly advise the public to refrain from doing laundry during the flushing period to avoid potential staining.
