COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch Intermediate Organization President Larry Loviska told the Branch Intermediate School District Board of Education Wednesday that compromises on contract grievances have not been reached with the district despite a number of meetings with administrators.
That means at least three of the grievances will be going to arbitration.
Loviska also wanted to set the record straight about a statement made during last months meeting concerning who pays what fees. He said the losing side in an arbitration is responsible for the arbitrator fees and that both sides have to pay the attorney fees.
The grievances involve five employees. The exact reasons behind the grievances have not been released by either administrators or the union.
