COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School girls varsity soccer team finally got its offense going Tuesday night, beating Sturgis 6-1 in non-conference action.
Malorie Rzepka had three goals and one assist in the win. Carlee Larimer had two goals, while Carlie Wilson had the other. Olivia Foley had two assists and Sydney Akers had one assist.
The lone goal Coldwater gave up came on a Sturgis penalty kick.
Nadia Kiersey made six saves in goal, as the Lady Cardinals outshot Sturgis 18-8. Coldwater is now 1-4 on the season and will host Parma Western Friday for Youth Soccer Night.
The Coldwater JV team beat Sturgis 1-0. Juana Mancera scored the lone goal as they improved to 1-1-3 on the season.
