COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council approved a resolution to support an application by the city engineering staff for future repairs to the South Clay Street Bridge.
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is accepting new applications for Local Bridge Program funds.
An inspection has found that the South Clay Street Bridge is in deteriorating condition.
The resolution is needed to commit the city to its ten percent share of the 2021 project which comes out to just over $16,000.
MDOT would pay for 90 percent of the work which comes out to about $306,000.
