POTTERVILLE, MI (WTVB) – In high school boys baseball, Bronson won the Potterville Invitational Saturday. They defeated Carson City-Crystal 3-2 to advance to the championship game against Potterville where they won in the battle of the Vikings 9-5.
Kameron Haviland and Cody Schwartz were the winning pitchers in their first starts of the season. Hudson Wotta and Bryant Behnke both had two hits for the Vikings against Carson City and they each drove in a run. Brett Sikorski had four hits including a double and a triple against Potterville. He along with Brendan Bell and Haviland all had two RBI’s.
Bronson’s record is now 10-1.
The Coldwater JV baseball team lost to Battle Creek Pennfield 7-3 in the finals of the Cardinals J.V. Invitational on Saturday at Lowe Field. Coldwater advanced to the finals with a 10-3 win over Wayland Union.
Jaxon Janusz had three hits, two RBI’s and scored three runs against Wayland.
GIRLS SOFTBALL—
Bronson split their two games at the Battle Creek Lakeview Invitational. They lost to Grand Rapids Catholic Central 11-8 and defeated the host Lakeview Spartans 21-15. Dakota Smith had two homers, one in each game. Payton Robinson and winning pitcher Aubrey Ballou homered against Lakeview.
Bronson’s record is now 3-6.
