COMSTOCK, MI (WTVB) – In high school track and field Friday, it was a sweep for the Quincy Orioles at the Comstock Invitational. For the third year in a row the Quincy Boys have won the team title. The Orioles finished first with 146 points. Parchment was second with 105 ½ and Mendon third with 98 ½. Bronson finished ninth.
Quincy was led by Nathan Nohr who won the 1600 and 3200 and was a part of the winning 3200 meter relay team. Other members of the winning 3200 relay team were Luke Hollenbaugh, Josh Pepper and Erik Butchart.
Branch County teams were 1-2 in the girls meet. Quincy won with 131.2 points followed by Bronson with 99.2 points. Quincy won the 400, 800 and 1600 relays. Quincy’s Emily Hollenbaugh edged Bronson’s Keona Salesman to win the high jump. MaKenzie Groves and Montana Hindes were the top two finishers in the pole vault.
