ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) – A homeless man who was convicted of breaking into a Fremont, Indiana home in January 2017 was sentenced Monday in Steuben County Circuit Court.
48-year-old Clarence Hoskins, Junior will serve eight years in the Indiana Department of Corrections after a jury found him guilty of Burglary, Robbery, Battery Against a Child and Theft at the conclusion of a two day trial.
He could have received up to 21 years in prison.
The home invasion took place in the 900 block of Nicholas Trail.
Hoskins was arrested after officers from multiple other agencies responded and set up a perimeter.
Hoskins was later found and taken into custody without incident.
