UNDATED (WTVB) – If the weather forecasts are accurate, it’s going to be a soggy and cold weekend.
National Weather Service forecasters say there will be two main waves of rain – one today, and another one early Sunday.
Rainfall totals through the weekend in the area are expected to be as high as three inches. This may cause some minor flooding along some rivers and low-lying areas.
There is also a chance for thunderstorms on Saturday, but severe weather is not expected.
Much cooler air will gradually filter in from northwest to southeast highs around 40 by Monday.
Snow showers are expected Monday but there will little or no accumulation.
