UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Village of Union City is entering its third year of being a golf cart friendly community.
Since the program started in 2016, the Village says 75 people have registered 35 golf carts. Other communities have gotten assistance in adopting the same resolution and policies.
Union City residents are reminded that golf carts must be registered and drivers have to be legally able to operate them.
Licensed drivers can register for free.
There is a $10 fee to register a golf cart and obtain a license/sticker for it.
By state statute it must be a golf cart as defined by Michigan Law.
For more information on rules and regulations, you can visit the Ivan Boynton Municipal Offices at 101 South Broadway or call 741-8591.
