FREMONT, IN (WTVB) – Environmentalists in southern lower Michigan and northeast Indiana are looking forward to next weekend’s 9th annual Earth Fest at Fremont, Indiana on the grounds of the Briali Winery and Vineyards along State Road 120.
The Saturday, April 21 gathering is orchestrated by an event planning class at Trine University in Angola and sponsored by the school’s SPEAK for the Earth environmental club.
One of the student planners for Earth Fest is Ben Vigliarolo, who spoke last month at a meeting of the Coldwater Township Sunrise Rotary Club. He said they are trying to attract people from Ft. Wayne through Coldwater and across the tristate area to focus on celebrating the earth on one day at one location, and do it by educating, cultivating and fostering environmental awareness within the community.
There will be workshops, speakers, musical entertainment, food trucks, wine and beer, and a welcome center with coffee.
Earth Fest will run from noon to 9:00 p.m.
