QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – In boys high school golf, Quincy won their second Big 8 Jamboree Thursday night at Belle Vista Golf Course.
Quincy and Jonesville both had scores of 190. Chase Kingsbury’s fifth place score was the tiebreaker pushing the Orioles to the win.
Lawson Tell led Quincy with a 43 while Cody Smith had a 45, Mason Shilling carded a 48 and Brody Glei fired a 54.
Bronson finished fourth as they were led by Mac Love who fired a 50. Billy Balowski had a 52. Union City was sixth. The Chargers were led by Hayden Kreger who had a 49.
—BOYS TRACK—
Quincy 92, Sand Creek 45
Quincy winners were Jonathan Purvis (discus), Bryce Ruhl (long jump, high jump), Nathan Nohr (800, 1600, 3200) and Sebastian Gillete (400). Quincy won the 1600 and 3200 relays.
—GIRLS TRACK—
Quincy 89, Sand Creek 48
Quincy winners were Sarah Bostic (shot put), Sara Avra (discus), Montana Hindes (long jump), Mackenzie Blatter (pole vault, 3200), Harmony Harpster (800, 1600), Mackenzie Horsfall (400), Madelyn Allman (300 hurdles) and Jessica Holcomb (200). Quincy won the 800, 1600 and 3200 relays.
