COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The upcoming construction season will be a busy one around the Coldwater area.
Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker says he has received confirmation from Michigan Departmenrt of Transportation that the repaving of almost ten miles of U.S. 12 between Coldwater and Bronson will start early next month.
The Indiana Northeastern Railroad bridge will be removed as part of the project. One lane will be open under flag control during the resurfacing but a portion of U.S. 12 will be closed when the bridge is removed. Traffic will be detoured on Snow Prairie Road and M-86.
Other projects include the removal of the old US-12 Bridge from April until June, The repaving of Grand Street and Treat Avenue during June and July, the repaving of Marshall and Division Street from August to October and work on the Chandler Plaza parking lot from April through November.
