UNION TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – For the second time this week, Michigan State Police are investigating a Union Township home break in.
The latest took place in the 900 block of Adolph Road sometime between noon on Wednesday and 4:30pm on Thursday afternoon.
Troopers say the suspect or suspects kicked in the doors and a detached garage.
An unknown amount of jewelry was stolen but the State Police think weapons were being sought in the break in.
This follows the theft of seven firearms from a home in the 200 block on Mauer Road. That break in happened in broad daylight on Wednesday. Troopers say it took place sometime between 9:30am and 4pm.
Investigators think these crimes may be linked to other complaints in the area over the last few days where doors were kicked in and the door frames were broken. Anybody with information is asked to call the Marshall Post of the State Police at 269-558-0500.
