COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Fire Department has received information about a pair of recalls of defective products that may cause a fire.
The InSinkErator SinkTop Switch Accessory for Garbage Disposals is being recalled because water can get into the power module. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled switches and contact InSinkErator for a free SinkTop switch replacement at 855-215-5695 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.. They can also log onto www.insinkerator.com and click on “Safety Notice”.
The model numbers are 76703, STS-SOSN, 78251 and 74300.
In addition, Goodman Manufacturing Modular Blowers are being recalled because the labels found on the serial plate have incorrect electrical information that could result in installers and servicers using undersized wiring or incorrect fuse/circuit breaker parts, posing a fire hazard. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled modular blowers and contact Goodman for a free inspection and to receive a new product label and electrical instructions.
