COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A long time member of the Coldwater Fire Department recently retired.
Captain Jeff Rhoades has officially retired after 27 years of service.
He started his career with the Coldwater Fire Department on January 1, 1994 and was promoted through the ranks until he made Captain in 1998.
His official retirement date was January 1, 2021.
Before he came to the fire department, Rhoades served in the U.S. Air Force between 1986 and 1993 and was deployed during Operation Desert Storm.
He then joined the Air Force Reserves and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Rhoades and his wife Lisa plan to spend retirement in Florida.
