Elwyn A. Reese, 93, of Burlington, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility and Rehabilitation in Coldwater.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Burlington Cemetery.
Elwyn was born April 22, 1927 in Eckford, Michigan. He attended and graduated from Tekonsha Community Schools with the Class of 1944. On August 14, 1946, he married the former Barbara J. Waters, who preceded him in death in 1996.
Elwyn was employed from 1964-1987 at Union Pump in Battle Creek, where he worked as an inspector. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a lifetime member of the NRA.
Survivors include Elwyn’s children, Linda (Ron) Crawford of Union City and Carroll Michael (Brenda) Reese of Tekonsha; grandchildren, Rachael (Brian Duke) Wilson, Jennifer (Corey) Wooden, David (Kylie) Reese, Matthew (Kaitlyn) Reese, Ginger (Brad) Osborn, Cherry (Dick) deWerff and Rodney (Jean) Crawford; 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Barbara, he was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Carroll Reese.
Memorial donations are suggested to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
