COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – For girls basketball teams in the state of Michigan, the Road to Grand Rapids starts Monday night as the District Tournaments get underway.
The 18-2 Coldwater Cardinals play at Sturgis in the opening round of the Class A Districts. The Trojans are 9-11. The winner will face either Battle Creek Central or Battle Creek Lakeview at Lakeview on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.

In other opening round games of the Lakeview District, Gull Lake will face Harper Creek and Battle Creek Central will face Lakeview. Kalamazoo Loy Norrix drew an opening round bye.
In the Class C Districts being hosted by Bronson, the host 13-6 Vikings will host the 8-12 Quincy Orioles. In the other Bronson district opening round games, 6-12 Union City will host 2-18 Reading while 19-1 Homer will play at 18-2 Centreville.
In the Class D Districts hosted by Tekonsha on Monday evening, Camden-Frontier will face Litchfield and Pansophia Academy plays the host Indians.
