COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Area rivers continue to rise and high water has shut down several roads thanks to the combination of heavy rain, saturated ground and a melting snowpack.
A Flood Warning continues for the St. Joseph River at Three Rivers from Wednesday afternoon until further notice.
The stage was 5.6 feet and rising at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. Moderate flooding is forecast as the river is expected to crest over two feet above its seven foot flood stage at 7:00 p.m. Saturday night.
Additional rises are possible thereafter.
The Flood Warning continues for the St Joseph River at Burlington where minor flooding is expected.
Branch County is under a Flood Watch until Wednesday afternoon.
