COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In high school wrestling, Coldwater won a second straight Division Two Team District title Wednesday night, as they defeated Marshall 53-24 and Sturgis 58-9. The Cardinals won their third district title in the last four years
It was also a milestone night for Zach Miller at 171 pounds, as he captured his 100th career victory with a pair of pins.
Also winning their two matches were Marshall Hoard (103), Zeke Nowicki (112), Zoe Nowicki (119), Nick Buchanan (125), Hamza Muflihi (130), Damien Cole (135), Matt Gipple (152), Caleb Modert (189) and Zach Gipple (215).
Meanwhile, Quincy lost to Hillsdale 42-30 in the semi-finals of the Division Three Team Districts on the Orioles home mat. Jonesville defeated Hillsdale in the district finals 60-24.
Union City lost to Homer 45-30 in the Division Four Team Districts at Athens. Homer then defeated Athens 36-34 in the district finals.
