COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A statewide tour to stop bullying and raise awareness of autism will make a stop in Coldwater Wednesday morning.
The Relentless Tour which is being put on by the Michigan Department of Civil Rights at over 600 schools in Michigan will be at the Pansophia Academy at 9:00 a.m.
Former Michigan State basketball player Anthony Ianni will be speaking to students. He was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the age of four and was the victim of bullying.
Ianni became the first individual with autism to play Division One college basketball at Michigan State.
A press release issued by the Michigan Department of Civil Rights states that between 65 and 90 percent of those with autism have experienced bullying at some point in their lives.
