COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It maybe the dead of winter, but the road construction season is not that far away.
Several projects are scheduled to take place this year in the City of Coldwater.
City Manager Keith Baker told the Coldwater City Council at their meeting Monday night that bids for the demolition of the old US-12 Bridge are due January 29, 2018. He said city staff is still reviewing options for the water line that is currently suspended over the river.
Baker added the Michigan Department of Transportation will soon be bidding out the Grand Street project for early summer construction.
The Marshall/Division/Business Loop-69 project is scheduled to start after the Branch County Fair wraps up in August. The reconstruction of the railroad crossing on Division near Park will take place before the fair.
In addition, Baker said the engineering is wrapping up on the Chandler Parking Lot reconstruction project. A bid is expected to be awarded at the end of March with construction beginning soon after.
