BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – In boys high school basketball, Coldwater extended their winning streak to seven straight as they won at Harper Creek 53-38 Monday night. After Coldwater jumped out to a 16-9 lead after the first quarter, the Beavers came back in the second and trimmed the Cardinals lead to 28-24 at halftime. Coldwater took control of the game with a 19-9 third quarter.
McDonalds Player of the Game Dylan Targgart led Coldwater with 17 points, 11 rebounds and two assists. Brady Beckhusen had 10 points and eight rebounds while Gage McGuire had 10 points, six rebounds and two blocks. Damon Beckhusen dished out seven assists.
The Cardinals are now 8-1 overall and 6-1 in the Interstate 8.
