COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After a lengthy presentation from Coldwater Board of Public Utilities Director Jeff Budd, the Coldwater City Council Monday night approved a recommendation from the CBPU to raise some of their cable TV rates.
The new rates would go into effect February 22, 2018.
CBPU officials cite significant increases in off air and sports programming as among the reasons why they have to raise rates. They also cite continued increases in the cost of presenting regular programming.
Budd said that this should be the last time that these rate adjustment come to the Council because of the introduction of SkitterTV and the eventual sunsetting of the legacy cable service around the end of June.
