COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater School Board of Education approved amendments to the district’s 2017-2018 budgets Monday night.
Among the major changes that Superintendent Terry Boguth highlighted was an increase in local revenues.
She said revenues are going to be over $27 million, which is an increase of more than $356,000. Boguth said the local revenue was more than expected because when they did the budget back in June, the new taxable values were not available yet.
In addition, expenditures will be increased by over $1.5 million to $27.8 million, which will leave the fund balance at over $5 million
The new expenditures included two new buses, new classroom furniture and technology as well as new playground equipment for Jefferson Elementary.
