COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The case of a Coldwater man who allegedly used his computer to exchange child pornography has been bound over to Branch County Circuit Court.
47-year-old Travis Robert Thomas waived his Branch County District Court preliminary exam which was scheduled for Thursday. His pre-trial conference in Circuit Court is set for January 29th.
Thomas was charged with Using a Computer to Commit a Crime and being in Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material. An habitual offender enhancement for a second offense was also filed by prosecutors.
Thomas was charged following an investigation by the Michigan State Police. His bond is still at $50,000.
